How To Throw A Retirement Party During Quarantine | Retirement Party Ideas

Welcome to my another latest blog post. Today i am going to discuss about How To Throw A Retirement Party During Quarantine covid 19 or Retirement Party Ideas .

A retirement party is a very thoughtful way to celebrate the years of work hard and dedication of your loved ones, employees, or boss. They’ve worked 60-65 years of their lives and finally retiring from the working life. But the coronavirus that we’re hit by has changed the way we carry things. Many people graduated just from home. Many people said farewell to their jobs during the pandemic. As a whole, the coronavirus has made us learn new ways and adapt to change. Considering the fact that 50+ are more vulnerable to catching corona, we have to be extra careful while arranging the retirement party.

In this post, we’re doing to discuss some very creative ideas to make the most of the retirement party during the quarantine.

1# Drive-Through or Parking Retirement Party

A drive-by retirement party can be the best way to celebrate retirement with social distancing. Everyone can enjoy while maintaining social distancing at the party. However, you still need to send out the retirement party invite to your co-workers, friends, and family. Everything will be the same except for the chairs and table setup. You can book a spacious lawn or use your parking area. Every guest will come in the car and greets you from it. You can also distribute the food in the food boxes to every vehicle.

2# Zoom Retirement Party

Zoom has been one of the most common mediums during the COVID-19 to bring people together. From marriage, birthdays, graduations, and whatnot, Zoom has been the first choice for people. Even when you decide to throw a zoom party, keep the number of people limited. You can only color coordinate for the party and let the guests know beforehand. Not only that, you can even select a theme for the party so the guests can make necessary decors around their place.

3# A Socially Distanced Bonfire

Look out for a spacious enough area for a bonfire party and make the necessary arrangements. Since the party has to be a physical party and not a virtual party, you will have to chop off the guest list even more. After finalizing the list, send away printed party invitation. Once you’ve figured out the place, get as many blankets as possible, and make small spaces to sit in. keep the distance in your mind when you lay down the blankets. You can ask them to bring in some snacks with them and just sit, chit chat, and enjoy the time together.

4# Partitioned Retirement Party

A partitioned party means dividing it into an indoor and outdoor garden area. If you want to opt for this idea, you need to make sure you have an open place in your house through which the retiree and family can interact with the guests. If you do not have an open space, a glass door or a big window can do the work for you too. But make sure you arrange a network that enables them to connect easily. Once you’ve selected the area, make appropriate decorations before the guests arrive. You can ask the guests to bring some posters and placard with the best wishes messages to cheer up the retiree.

5# Socially Distanced Picnic For Retirement Celebration

Look for a park in your locality that you would like to have your picnic in. Before moving further, make sure the park permits you to have a party in. since there are some public parks open to parties, however, some of them require you take official permission. If it is a public park, then we would recommend you go half an hour before the party and put up some posters on the trees around the space you have chosen. Going early will let you find enough space where you can make these arrangements. The sitting area can either be chairs put in a circle at an appropriate distance. The chair of the retiree can be put in the center; this will make the communication easy.

6# A Just Family Retirement Party

Do not worry if you have not found an appropriate retirement party idea yet. This last has to be your go-to idea if the rest did not work out for you. If you do not feel comfortable enough calling people and fear the transmission of the virus, then throwing a family party has to be the best idea. This will allow you to decorate nook and corner of the house, play in some songs, and prepare food together, and much more. You can turn the party into fun by putting on the family’s favorite movie and watch it together.
